This role involves providing expert advice on contract management, policy compliance, and federal contracting requirements within a hybrid setting. The specialist will handle complex inquiries, review contractual obligations, and manage contracts on a day-to-day basis, advising on strategic direction and contract interpretation. A key aspect is proactively identifying and resolving contract issues and disputes to minimize litigation and safeguard the organization's reputation. The position acts as a liaison between internal clients, project teams, business units, and the Legal function, as well as between the organization and external clients/vendors. The specialist will inform project teams of contract requirements, monitor compliance, and implement/oversee contract management processes. Developing and refining contract management tools, templates, and processes is also part of the role. A solid understanding of the organization's major business areas, such as system integration and outsourcing, is necessary for effective communication with executives. Training and guidance on contract requirements and best practices will be provided to personnel as needed. The role supports cradle-to-grave contract management activities, including risk management from proposal to closeout, and involves presenting contract-related information to executives and contracting officers.
