Sr. Director, Technical Program Management (Remote-Eligible)

That’s where you come in. About the Team: Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) comprises many of Capital One’s most important enterprise platforms. We establish practices for building technology solutions across the company and deliver capabilities that exemplify those practices. As a TPM in EPTech, you will leverage your technical acumen and engineering experience to drive the strategy and execution of large-scale, technically complex, cross-functional programs aligned with Capital One’s business priorities. You’ll break down complexity and organizational silos, influence roadmaps, dive deep into system design and architecture, make technical tradeoffs, drive platform consolidation, and identify, resolve, define, and escalate mitigation plans for hard technical dependencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs
- Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycle
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
- A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinker
- Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners
Nice To Haves
- 9+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
- 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture - preferably using AWS
- 5+ years of building & leading experienced TPM team
- 5+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms
- 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery
