About The Position

WellSky is looking for an experienced Sr. Director of Interoperability to lead critical strategic initiatives in the rapidly evolving healthcare data landscape, with a special focus on the post-acute care sector. This pivotal leadership role is essential for navigating complex regulatory mandates, advancing participation in national health information exchange frameworks, and ensuring technological solutions remain at the cutting edge of interoperability. The role focuses on future-proofing technology and driving innovation that delivers significant value to clients. The individual will be a key member of the team, empowered to shape WellSky's position as a leader in connected care, with a proven ability to effectively articulate value and navigate intricate challenges with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of technical acumen, regulatory understanding, clinical workflow knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 10-12 years relevant work experience
  • At least 5-6 years relevant management work experience

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and translate complex mandates like the 21st Century Cures Act and its Information Blocking provisions into actionable product strategies.
  • Ensure compliance while simultaneously identifying opportunities to leverage these regulations for a competitive advantage.
  • Strategically position WellSky to participate within the evolving national framework of Qualified Health Information Networks (QHINs) under TEFCA.
  • Forge critical relationships within the interoperability community and enhance data sharing capabilities to improve patient outcomes.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7), understand the unique nuances of data exchange in post-acute care, and provide strategic guidance on interoperability investments.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of interoperability solutions to both internal stakeholders and the diverse client base.
  • Build confidence, articulate the strategic importance of the roadmap, and drive adoption.
  • Anticipate industry trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and spearhead strategic initiatives that will keep WellSky at the forefront of interoperable solutions in the post-acute care market.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
