About The Position

The Senior Director of Operations will be responsible for the daily activities of driving change, process improvements and implementation of Store Operations (SSC) projects into a Division. This role does not include Pro, Tool Rental, At Home Services, or H. Key Responsibilities include reviewing project plans for completeness and sustainability, socializing implementation plans with change management, and ensuring accuracy to meet realistic timelines. The role involves reviewing and approving Atlanta SSC projects, participating in the SOAR process, and aligning projects with company strategy. Managing projects with completed implementation packages from SSC, including milestones, metrics, training, and timelines, is crucial. The position serves as a key team member in implementation planning, providing feedback to SSC project owners for continuous improvement. Regular guidance and direction to Regional Operations Managers (ROMs) and weekly communications to Ps and RVPs are expected. The role acts as a liaison between SSC, field leadership, and stores, attending President's meetings and operational conference calls to ensure alignment and integration of operational projects. Updates on active projects are presented monthly.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
  • District Manager or equivalent with 10 years of relevant work experience
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED
  • 6 years of work experience
  • Working knowledge of store operations, merchandising and financial analysis
  • Analytical skills
  • Basic Office Budget Management skills
  • Ability to drive change and execute process improvements across region
  • Teach, coach, & train diverse groups of associates
  • Technology competence (Basic P.C. skills)
  • Desktop Office Suite must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans for completeness and sustainability
  • Socialize the implementation plans, including all aspects of change management
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of projects and initiatives to confirm they are meeting realistic timelines
  • Review and approve Atlanta SSC projects and initiatives
  • Participate as a key stakeholder in the SOAR process, and help determine project alignment with company strategy
  • Manage projects using a completed implementation package from SSC with milestones, metrics for success, training, and implementation timeline (i.e. Playbook)
  • Be key team member in project/initiative implementation planning
  • Provide project/initiative implementation feedback to Atlanta SSC project owners to help determine measurement against success criteria to facilitate continuous improvement
  • Provide regular guidance and direction to Regional Operations Managers (ROMs), as well as weekly communications to Ps and RVPs, at minimum
  • Serve as liaison between SSC, field leadership and stores
  • Attend all President's meetings as a team member to ensure all operational projects are aligned and integrated with all other functional rollouts
  • Attend all operational conference calls as a team member
  • Present updates on all active projects in month
