About The Position

The Senior Director of Brand Strategy & Marketing will set the vision and roadmap for the US & Canada marketing team. They will be responsible for planning, development, and implementation of the brand, content, creative and customer marketing strategy. The ideal candidate should have a creative, problem-solving mind, with strong inter-personal skills to collaborate with leaders within RS, leaders of global manufacturers, and inter-departmental personnel. The Senior Director of Marketing is directly responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy, overseeing a multi-million-dollar budget, leading the creative services team, and working across business functions to elevate the RS brand among target personas by effectively communicating the evolving RS value proposition.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of B2B marketing and strategy development experience
  • Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Econ or equivalent experience
  • Digitally savvy, knowledgeable of marketing and digital best practices
  • Strong brand building and GTM experience
  • Comfortable working in a highly fluid and matrixed environment; able to regularly switch and partner with other team members and business functions
  • Excellent and persuasive communications skills; able to clearly articulate and sell your strategies in relatable and convincing ways
  • Highly resourceful and able to find the leading insights from multiple data sources including search, social, and web date
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter with a passion for continued learning

Responsibilities

  • Develop the annual Integrated Marketing Plan (IMP) for the market, including the overarching strategy and tactical plans, in collaboration with the commercial functions.
  • Build and develop the marketing team, maturing the skill sets and finding the right roles to create a high performance B2B organization
  • Lead the creation of customer facing value proposition, brand personas and brand marketing strategy in collaboration with Group marketing function.
  • Responsible for developing sales support materials and working in combination with the Sales team to communicate key value propositions.
  • Support proposition development for new and emerging product and service lines in market.
  • Develop multi-channel marketing campaigns to deliver on IMP expectations.
  • Provide oversight to copywriting, graphic design, and production content, ensuring the deliverables are on point with the brand voice and agreed upon messaging.
  • Ensure best-in-class messaging for all branded communications, with brand propositions that correctly promote our competencies.
  • Maintain relationships with key media players, and actively evaluate and adapt our media buying plans.
  • Drive new customers to the brand while building loyalty and repeat business with existing customers.
