About The Position

As Senior Director of Marketing & Digital Growth, you will set strategic direction for marketing across North America and globally, overseeing a team of marketing professionals and a significant program budget. You will drive measurable growth across membership, certifications, and product adoption, bringing both the vision to modernize how the IIA markets and the operational discipline to execute against it. This is a rare opportunity to build and modernize a marketing function at genuine scale. Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving measurable growth.
  • Experience leading teams in complex, multi-stakeholder B2C/B2B environments.
  • Deep expertise across marketing disciplines (demand generation, brand, digital, content, and product marketing).
  • Hands-on experience with modern marketing technology and AI-powered marketing tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Translates organizational priorities into clear, measurable strategies, then drives them through to results.
  • Leads complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from concept through execution, including platform migrations, personalization programs, and new product launches.
  • Balances long-term vision with hands-on execution; comfortable getting into the details when it matters.
  • Uses data confidently to set direction, measure impact, and prioritize the team’s work.
  • Communicates clearly and persuasively to audiences ranging from frontline teams to the C-suite.
  • Builds trusted cross-functional relationships and brings stakeholders along through ambiguity and change.
  • Skilled at managing budgets, vendors, and agency relationships with transparency and accountability.
  • Leads with empathy and accountability, creating an environment where people are challenged, supported, and doing their best work.
  • Invests in developing talent and building capabilities the team needs to stay ahead in a fast-moving landscape.
  • Holds a high bar for quality and delivery while fostering psychological safety and a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision for modern, data-driven, AI-enabled, omnichannel marketing across the organization.
  • Develop strategies that strengthen brand relevance, accelerate membership and certification growth, and drive product adoption globally.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on market dynamics, member behavior, competitive trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Champion innovation by introducing new methodologies and frameworks that elevate marketing’s sophistication and impact.
  • Architect high-impact, multichannel campaigns using a rigorous process: briefing, creative exploration, copy and design development, iterative testing, and rollout.
  • Partner to define the creative strategy, ensuring agency-level quality, modern visual identity, and compelling storytelling.
  • Drive application of AI tools for segmentation, predictive analytics, content generation, personalization, and journey orchestration.
  • Establish a culture of experimentation: rapid prototyping, A/B testing, and performance-driven iteration.
  • Lead growth strategy across membership, certifications, learning products, events, and enterprise offerings.
  • Build persona-driven segmentation and lifecycle marketing programs that convert prospects and retain members.
  • Identify new markets and verticals; develop go-to-market plans for each opportunity.
  • Deliver integrated, high-performing marketing programs that drive business impact.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team, setting high standards while building a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
  • Act as a strategic marketing advisor to internal business units and organizational clients.
  • Cultivate relationships with chapter leaders, enterprise customers, and key stakeholders to advance growth priorities.
  • Establish clear operating rhythms: business reviews, performance check-ins, campaign planning, and insight briefings.
