About The Position

The Sr. Director, Head of Multi-Asset Engineering is responsible for the strategy, architecture, and execution of technology solutions supporting S&P Dow Jones Indices’ Multi-Asset business. The role partners closely with Product, Research & Design, Operations, and Commercial teams to accelerate time-to-market, enable AI-powered product innovation, and develop scalable technology capabilities for current and future Multi-Asset index offerings. It combines value-stream ownership, engineering leadership, platform strategy, and organizational influence, with a focus on moving from bespoke solutions toward reusable platforms, common services, and modern product-centric engineering practices. The role leads the end-to-end technology strategy and execution roadmap for the Multi-Asset Index value stream, translating business growth opportunities into scalable capabilities and aligning investment with business priorities, customer demand, and strategic objectives. It serves as the senior technology partner for Multi-Asset product development initiatives and drives delivery of new index launches, enhancements, AI-enabled product capabilities, analytics, and data package solutions. The leader defines shared business services, APIs, frameworks, and engineering patterns; identifies capabilities common across Index Build value streams; and promotes reuse to reduce duplication and fragmentation across Multi-Asset, Equities, and Fixed Income platforms. The position also advances AI, automation, and agentic development approaches to improve engineering productivity and integrates AI-enabled capabilities across the product lifecycle in partnership with Architecture, Data, and Platform teams. The role leads, mentors, and develops engineering teams and technical leaders; builds partnerships across Product, Operations, Commercial, Data Platform, Architecture, Cyber, QE, and SRE; influences stakeholders without direct authority; and communicates strategy, priorities, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership. The position is limited to people with indefinite right to work in the United States.
