About The Position

Realtor.com® is seeking an accomplished Sr. Director, CEO Communications to serve as the communications partner to the Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, this senior leader will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing a comprehensive communications program that advances the CEO's thought leadership agenda, strengthens organizational alignment, and reinforces the company's strategic narrative across all audiences. This is a highly visible, high-impact role requiring a communications professional with an established track record of supporting C-suite executives at scale. A successful candidate will bring deep expertise across executive communications disciplines and exceptional editorial judgment.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in executive or corporate communications, with a substantial portion dedicated to direct C-suite support
  • Demonstrated history of managing CEO or senior executive communications programs within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities across a broad range of formats and audiences, with a portfolio reflecting consistent quality and range
  • Proficient in using AI tools to scale communications deliverables, such as briefing docs, talking points or op eds written the executive’s voice.
  • Proven ability to internalize and authentically represent an executive's voice, perspective, and communication style
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex strategic priorities into clear, compelling narratives
  • Sound judgment and the discretion required to operate with a high degree of trust and confidentiality at the executive level
  • Bachelor's degree required in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related discipline

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a consistent, authoritative voice for the CEO across all communication channels. Develop and codify tone, messaging frameworks, and narrative guidelines that ensure coherence and authenticity across internal, external, and industry-facing communications.
  • Serve as the primary author and editor for all CEO-attributed content, including keynote addresses, executive speeches, media talking points, op-eds, investor and board remarks, internal communications, video scripts, and digital and LinkedIn posts. Uphold the highest standards of clarity, accuracy, and strategic intent across all deliverables.
  • Own the CEO's presence at all internal and external events in close partnership with the Senior Director, Corporate Brand Activation. Ensure the CEO's message is expressed not only through spoken remarks but across every experiential touchpoint — including video production, presentation visuals, and event staging elements — to deliver a cohesive, on-brand executive experience at every appearance.
  • Oversee the development and ongoing management of the CEO's speaking and thought leadership platform. Evaluate and prioritize engagement opportunities in alignment with business objectives, develop compelling submissions and positioning materials, and ensure full preparation — including briefing documents, talking points, and rehearsal support — for all appearances.
  • Own the full spectrum of CEO communications — spanning internal, external, and industry audiences — ensuring consistent, strategically aligned messaging across all channels. Work in close partnership with industry and internal teams to ensure alignment.
  • Anticipate communication requirements in advance of significant business milestones, market developments, and industry moments. Develop forward-looking messaging that shapes the narrative proactively, working in close partnership with the VP of Communications to ensure alignment with the broader communications strategy.
