About The Position

The Sr. Director, AI & Innovation is a senior technology leader responsible for driving PVH's global strategy and execution around Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI (GenAI), and Innovation. Reporting to the EVP, Enterprise Architecture, this role builds and leads the processes, teams, and partnerships that cultivate, test, and scale emerging technologies. The Sr. Director sets the vision for AI/GenAI adoption, oversees and drives innovation across the enterprise, and ensures alignment with standards and business outcomes. The role requires a proven innovator and change agent with strong communication and influencing skills, deep knowledge of AI/GenAI trends and platforms, and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, business relevant solutions tailored to the fashion and retail industry.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive technology leadership, with 5+ years in AI/ML, GenAI, or Innovation roles
  • Proven track record of delivering AI/GenAI pilots and scaling them to enterprise solutions
  • Strong knowledge of AI/GenAI platforms, frameworks, and tools (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI, Co-Pilot, AWS Sagemaker, Google Vertex, low code platforms)
  • Experience leading innovation frameworks, labs, or centers of excellence
  • Familiarity with fashion/retail AI use cases such as generative design, demand forecasting, and customer personalization
  • Demonstrated experience leading small, agile teams in rapid prototyping and innovation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline required
  • Strong ability to influence and communicate with C- suite and senior stakeholders
  • Visionary and pragmatic; balances bold innovation with disciplined execution
  • Curious, experimental mindset with a passion for emerging technology
  • Strong communicator, able to articulate and simplify complex AI/GenAI concepts for business leaders
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Collaborative influencer who builds trust across diverse teams
  • Results oriented and data driven; focused on measurable business value
  • Deep knowledge of AI/ML and Generative AI platforms, frameworks, and trends
  • Application of AI/GenAI to fashion and retail use cases (design automation, demand forecasting, personalization, conversational commerce)
  • Low code/no code development for rapid prototyping
  • Innovation portfolio management, governance, and metrics
  • Vendor negotiation and partnership management in the AI/GenAI ecosystem
  • Agile and design thinking methodologies
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Certifications in AI/ML, cloud, or innovation management are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute PVH’s global AI/GenAI and Innovation strategy in partnership with the PVH IT teams
  • Establish a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, embedding AI/GenAI into PVH’s business and technology roadmaps
  • Translate emerging technology trends, including Agentic AI, into actionable business opportunities that drive measurable value across fashion design, merchandising, sourcing, supply chain, and retail operations
  • Build and implement a formal innovation framework covering idea intake, prioritization, prototyping, proof of concept, and scale/exit decisions
  • Run an innovation portfolio of AI/GenAI and emerging technology initiatives; track business outcomes, ROI, and adoption metrics
  • Develop and publish playbooks, standards, and guardrails for experimentation and innovation
  • Lead the identification of high value AI/GenAI use cases across the fashion value chain
  • Design & Product Creation: generative design, 3D visualization, automated pattern generation
  • Merchandising & Planning: assortment optimization, demand forecasting, pricing, and allocation
  • Supply Chain: predictive logistics, vendor collaboration, anomaly detection, sustainability insights
  • Retail & Commerce: personalization, conversational commerce, styling assistants, visual search, customer sentiment analysis
  • Corporate Functions: AI copilots for productivity, compliance monitoring, and HR analytics
  • Oversee rapid prototyping and pilots and define success criteria
  • Manage transitions from pilot to scaled solutions deployed and maintained by partner IT and business teams
  • Ensure responsible and ethical AI/GenAI adoption through governance, compliance, and bias mitigation frameworks
  • Lead and mentor a small team of innovators and developers, including a squad dedicated to rapid prototyping
  • Foster collaboration with enterprise architects, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders
  • Develop talent, empower experimentation, and recognize innovation contributions
  • Build an AI/GenAI innovation ecosystem through partnerships with strategic vendors, startups, and academic institutions
  • Negotiate and manage vendor relationships to secure early access, co innovation opportunities, and favorable commercial terms
  • Represent PVH in external forums, conferences, and innovation networks, with a focus on fashion and retail innovation
  • Influence senior business and technology leaders with clear, concise communication; simplify complex AI concepts into actionable strategies
  • Act as a trusted advisor on AI/GenAI and innovation topics across PVH’s brands, regions, and functions
  • Prepare executive updates for the EVP Enterprise Architecture, CTIO, and ELT as needed
  • Establish governance for responsible AI and innovation practices, ensuring alignment with data privacy, regulatory, and security standards
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with emerging technologies, vendor lock in, or scalability challenges
  • Define KPIs and success metrics for AI/GenAI and innovation initiatives (e.g., cost savings, revenue uplift, customer experience improvement, cycle time reduction)
  • Maintain dashboards and reports to track progress, business outcomes, and lessons learned
