Sr. Design Product Development Engineer
About The Position
This is a pipeline job posting for a Sr. Design Product Development Engineer position in the Core Diagnostics Division, located in Princeton, New Jersey. The role involves designing hardware and electrical components in medical devices. The engineer will be responsible for designing new products and processes, improving and maintaining existing products, and conducting design analysis to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability. This position also involves coordinating with other engineering personnel and may act as an internal consultant providing technical guidance on complex projects. The role includes instructing and checking the work of other design engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in EE or similar area of expertise.
- Min 10 years' experience in electrical / electronic engineering in circuit/PCBA design, EMC, Wireless and Product Safety testing.
Nice To Haves
- 8 or more years of experience with medical devices
- FDA Device Regulatory experience
- Experience working in regulated environment/quality systems
Responsibilities
- Design Hardware and Electrical Components in Medical Devices.
- Instructing and checking the work of other design engineers.
- Designing new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products.
- Conducting design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable.
- Communicating with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion.
- Acting as internal consultant providing technical guidance on most complex projects.
