About The Position

Manages the entire underwriting process for new clients, from the initial receipt of an application through the first funding. Works closely with the Sales team to evaluate prospective clients. Alterna Capital Solutions, a Paychex company, helps businesses fund unpaid invoices so they can cover operating costs, take on new work, and avoid delays. Its accounts receivable funding is described as faster and more flexible than traditional financing.

Requirements

At least 2 years of comparable work experience (required).
Understanding of finance and credit practices.
Ability to analyze data and understand its business significance.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field (preferred).
5 years of comparable work experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Research and prepare write-ups of client condition and operating results using financial and credit information and existing contracts to assess financial viability and creditworthiness and mitigate risk.
Research guarantors’ financial and related documents, including individual tax returns, Equifax reports, and personal financial statements, to assess applicants’ financial viability and creditworthiness.
Research accounts receivable information, including aging, concentration, and end debtors, to assess financial viability and creditworthiness based on available financial and credit information.
Guide the Sales team in collecting necessary information and organizing deal structure; lead client discussions to resolve follow-up questions.
Build and maintain the initial collateral file for use during the credit approval process for new clients.
Provide ongoing training and mentoring for new department members.
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of information in the Client Approval Memorandum.
Review prospective client agreements and all Alterna contracts and documents.
