Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of accounting experience with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field with accounting preferred; or equivalent work experience.
  • Combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of U.S. GAAP, showcasing strong proficiency and application in a professional accounting environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels, including with external auditors and cross-functional business partners showcasing strong interpersonal skills.
  • Robust quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to derive insights from complex financial data.
  • A forward-thinking mindset, with a penchant for exploring new ideas, embracing innovation, and adapting swiftly to changes in the business environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Big Four public accounting experience preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a public company environment with SOX compliance and external reporting requirements.
  • Experience supporting SEC filings, external audits, and quarterly reviews.
  • Experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency translation.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding and application of U.S. GAAP accounting standards as well as internal control standards (SOX compliance).
  • Collaborate with internal and cross-functional partners, including Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, FP&A, Benefits, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and other teams, to support accurate accounting, reporting, and close activities.
  • Assist in the monthly close and consolidation process, ensuring activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations, engaging in independent research to ensure completeness and accuracy in all assigned accounts.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly variance analyses for both the income statement and balance sheet, as designated.
  • Own assigned corporate accounting areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, supporting schedules, and related SOX control evidence for the monthly, quarterly and annual close process.
  • Maintain supporting schedules and ensure account reconciliations are completed in accordance with the close calendar.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Assist with monthly corporate consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency translation.
  • Assess and interpret the financial impact of lease agreements, including new, amended, and terminated contracts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Deliver insightful reporting analysis on key financial metrics.
  • Partner with Cost Accounting and FP&A to analyze and understand close impacts, operational variances, and related accounting entries, as applicable.
  • Uphold the company's commitment to compliance, adhering to internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including the safeguarding of protected health information.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, enhancing the organization's financial governance.
  • Assist with accounting and integration activities related to acquisitions, business combinations and affiliated entities.
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing required supporting schedules, responding to internal and external auditor requests, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
  • Assist with preparation and tie-out of SEC reporting support, including financial statement schedules, footnote support, and disclosure control documentation.
  • Assist with accounting for intercompany transactions, foreign currency remeasurement/translation, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, capitalized software, intangible assets, equity/stock-based compensation, debt, cash, and other corporate accounting areas as assigned.
  • Document and adhere to SOX control requirements, including maintaining appropriate control evidence and supporting process documentation.
  • Foster partnership and collaboration within the global accounting organization and with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex issues, streamline accounting processes, and support ad-hoc projects.
  • Must be able to review and analyze data that is rapidly changing and understand the business impact.
  • Support additional accounting, reporting, compliance, and process improvement projects as needed, including the responsible use of approved AI-enabled tools, automation, and data analytics to enhance accounting workflows, reconciliations, variance analysis, exception identification, documentation, and close efficiency while maintaining SOX compliance, data accuracy, and confidentiality standards.
