About The Position

12-Month Administrator at the District Level Sr Coordinator/Principal for the Directions Program Title I Budget and Grant Management. This role involves providing instructional leadership and coordination for the Directions program, developing and facilitating staff meetings, coordinating curriculum development, and evaluating programs. The position requires collaboration with D87 schools to identify student needs, monitor student success, and plan for future improvements. The administrator will also develop school schedules, coach and evaluate staff, meet with new families, maintain communication with students and families, and use data to evaluate program success and future needs. A key responsibility includes planning, budgeting, and monitoring spending, with a high-level understanding of the Title I Grant, including its rules, timelines, use, and purpose. The role involves writing and monitoring all aspects of the Title I Grant, collaborating with district and school leaders on its development and use, and developing and implementing a tracking system for its utilization. Additional duties as assigned are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree
  • Endorsement held -- Principal, General Admin/Type 75
  • General Administrative Certificate
  • Qualified Teacher Evaluator

  • Professional Educator License (registered in DuPage County)

Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional leadership and coordination for the Directions program
  • Develop and facilitate regular staff meetings to support school processes and staff growth
  • Coordinate program curriculum development and assist in program evaluations
  • Collaborate with D87 schools to identify student needs, explore program improvements and plan for future needs
  • Collaborate with school leaders to monitor student success indicators and plan for continuous improvement
  • Develop school schedule based on student needs (transcript evaluation and learning needs)
  • Coach and evaluate all licensed and support staff
  • Meet with new families and students in order to establish supportive and welcoming environment
  • Maintain communications with prospective and current students/families that depict supports, classes and culture of the Directions Program
  • Use data to evaluate the success and future needs of the Directions Program
  • Plan, budget and monitor spending to support the student and program needs
  • Maintain high-level of understanding of Title I Grant (rules, timelines, use, and purpose)
  • Write and monitor all aspects of Title I Grant
  • Collaborate with district and school leaders on development and use of Title I Grant
  • Develop and implement a tracking system to monitor Title I grant use
