About The Position

The Senior Content Marketing Manager is a key contributor to Vertafore’s marketing initiatives, driving engagement and growth through strategic, high-performing content. As part of the Agency Marketing team, this role owns the full content lifecycle, from big picture strategy and storytelling to hands on creation and optimization across channels. This person will create content that connects, crafting compelling narratives that increase awareness, build trust, and support lead generation goals. They’re a strategic storyteller who leads with curiosity, acts with autonomy, and delivers measurable results. With a forward-looking mindset, they’ll leverage emerging technologies including generative AI, to enhance creativity, efficiency, and impact. Familiarity with AI prompting, content generation tools, and building or using GPTs will help them ideate, test, and optimize content strategies that scale. Whether it’s developing thought leadership, discovering new ways to reach our audience, or shaping content that connects across the customer journey, they will play a pivotal role in advancing Vertafore’s brand and helping agencies succeed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading content strategy and execution in B2B SaaS marketing.
  • Understands how to craft and format content to remain discoverable and relevant in an AI and LLM driven search environment.
  • Understands search engine optimization and can apply best practices to digital deliverables like landing pages and blogs.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with a talent of simplifying complex messages to easy-to-understand stories.
  • Creative thinker, highly detailed-oriented, strong organizational skills, and sets a high threshold for quality.
  • Strong understanding of the customer journey and how content supports each stage.
  • Ability to adhere to brand style guidelines for tone and voice.
  • A team player that loves working collaboratively to set and achieve goals.
  • A data-informed mindset with a drive to test, measure, and improve.
  • 5+ years of experience writing and creating content marketing, preferably in B2B software or technology-focused industry.
  • Experience writing for senior-level audiences with a demonstrated and clear understanding of the buyer’s journey.
  • Experience developing and optimizing content strategies that account for how AI and large language models (LLMs) influence search, discovery, and user engagement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the financial or insurance industry is a bonus, but curiosity and the ability to learn fast matter more.

Responsibilities

  • Own the content strategy : Develop and execute a content architecture that engages and educates our agency audience across every stage of the customer journey.
  • Create compelling, results-driven content : Write, edit, and optimize copy across ads, emails, blogs, reports, eBooks, scripts, infographics, webpages, and landing pages.
  • Tell stories through video : Partner with our creative team to script and produce video content that captures attention, builds trust, and drives action.
  • Drive continuous optimization : Use data and analytics to measure what’s working, identify opportunities, and refine strategies for greater impact.
  • Lead projects from concept to launch : Manage timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables to bring a wide range of content initiatives to life that are on time and on brand.
  • Audit and evolve existing content : Review and optimize existing assets, identify gaps, and repurpose content to keep it fresh, relevant, and effective.
  • Stay ahead of trends : Research industry insights, competitor moves, and emerging topics to inform your strategy and inspire fresh ideas.
  • Champion brand voice and quality : Act as a brand steward, ensuring consistency in tone, message, and storytelling across all channels.
  • Collaborate across teams : Work closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Design to align content with campaigns and go-to-market priorities and sales motions.
  • Support webinar, podcast, and event content : Help shape narratives and content strategy, ensuring topics connect with our audience and business objectives.
