Sr Consultant Business Analyst

Greenlight ConsultingNorth York, ON

About The Position

Greenlight is a Canadian-founded technology services firm specializing in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Consulting and Technology Staffing. We foster a high-performance culture driven by values of kindness, ownership, transparency, and fairness, creating a collaborative and authentic workplace. We are seeking energetic, ambitious, and results-driven individuals to join us during a period of aggressive growth. This role is for a sharp, client-confident Business Analyst to join our UiPath automation delivery team. You will be central to our discovery and documentation process, translating complex business processes into clear automation requirements for our Solution Architect and UiPath developers. This is an client-facing role, not a back-office position. You will facilitate process walkthroughs with subject matter experts, navigate ambiguity, and produce documentation that serves as the single source of truth for each automation. Quality is paramount, as inadequate documentation leads to rework, loss of client confidence, and delayed go-live. You will collaborate closely with a Delivery Consultant and a Solution Architect, and work daily with in-house UiPath developers during build and testing.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in a Business Analyst, process analyst, or requirements-gathering role within technology or software delivery
  • Proven experience facilitating process discovery sessions with business stakeholders and translating outputs into formal documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to produce structured requirements or process documentation (PDDs, BRDs, user stories, or equivalent)
  • Experience working within agile delivery teams - comfortable with sprint cadences, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery
  • Precision and attention to detail - your documentation is what gets built; ambiguity costs time and money
  • Strong facilitation skills - able to run structured discovery sessions, keep discussions on track, and extract the detail that matters
  • Clear, confident communicator - equally effective with technical architects and non-technical business stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset - able to deconstruct complex processes, identify decision logic, and anticipate edge cases
  • Self-starter with strong time management - able to juggle multiple discovery tracks across concurrent projects
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - confident operating in fast-moving engagements where not everything is defined upfront
  • Working knowledge of UiPath or another RPA platform - enough to understand what the development team needs from a PDD
  • Experience with process mapping and diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent)
  • Comfortable working across common enterprise systems - ERP, CRM, document management, or workflow tools (client environments vary)
  • Familiarity with project management and documentation platforms such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Direct exposure to RPA or automation projects is a strong advantage - understanding what makes a process automatable matters here

Responsibilities

  • Lead process discovery workshops with client subject matter experts - facilitating walkthroughs, asking the right questions, and surfacing exceptions and edge cases that clients do not volunteer
  • Map current-state processes end-to-end, including decision points, system touchpoints, volume data, and known exceptions
  • Identify automation candidates and prioritise based on complexity, volume, and business impact in collaboration with the Delivery Consultant and Solution Architect
  • Probe for process variability and unstated assumptions - the details that break automations in UAT if not captured upfront
  • Produce high-quality Process Definition Documents (PDDs) that serve as the authoritative build specification for the Solution Architect and developers
  • Document process flows, decision trees, business rules, system interactions, and exception handling with precision and clarity
  • Maintain and version-control all documentation throughout the delivery lifecycle - from discovery through to post-go-live
  • Translate business language into structured, unambiguous requirements that development teams can act on without interpretation
  • Build working relationships with client process owners and SMEs - creating an environment where they share the detail you need, not just what they think you want to hear
  • Manage stakeholder availability and input across tight 3-6 month delivery windows, escalating access risks to the Delivery Consultant early
  • Communicate clearly with both technical teams (SA, developers) and non-technical client stakeholders - adjusting your language accordingly
  • Prepare and present process documentation for client sign-off, walking stakeholders through what has been captured and why it matters
  • Design UAT test scripts aligned to the documented process flows and agreed acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate UAT execution with client testers - preparing them, managing the test schedule, logging defects, and tracking resolution
  • Act as the bridge between client testers and the development team during UAT, triaging issues and distinguishing genuine defects from scope queries
  • Maintain a clear defect log and drive closure before go-live, escalating blockers to the Delivery Consultant where needed
  • Participate actively in sprint ceremonies - backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Break down discovery outputs into user stories and acceptance criteria that slot into the development backlog
  • Respond quickly to build-phase queries from developers and the SA - reducing the back-and-forth that slows delivery
  • Flag scope, requirement, or stakeholder risks to the Delivery Consultant as they emerge - not after they have already caused a delay
  • Take personal ownership of documentation quality - treat every PDD as a client-facing deliverable, because it is
  • Incorporate feedback from developers and the SA into your discovery and documentation approach over time
  • Build a reusable library of process templates, discovery frameworks, and PDD standards that raise the bar for the whole team
  • Support post-project reviews, capturing lessons learned to improve future discovery and delivery cycles
