Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting.
  • Three or more years of credit analysis experience.
  • Strong financial analytical abilities; detailed oriented.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and properly use various software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates financial condition of existing and prospective individuals and businesses applying for credit with the Bank, determining credit worthiness.
  • Prepares and reviews all supporting documentation for underwriting and recommends approval or rejection of credit requests.
  • Provides guidance to other Credit Underwriters within the department.
  • Works independently analyzing complex loan data and financial information on new, renewal and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, other financial institutions and Bank files.
  • Completes Credit Memo/Underwriting of requests for commercial credit, remote deposit capture, and ACH customers with the Bank.
  • Prepares spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for Bank Officers on new, renewal and existing loans.
  • Performs quarterly financial reviews identifying possible negative trends.
  • Assigns risk ratings to each borrower of the bank.
  • Provides technical support to loan officers and other credit analysts.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
