Position Summary The CNC Machinist – ProtoTRAK will set up, program, and operate ProtoTRAK mills and CNC lathes while producing precision components to engineering specifications. The successful candidate will perform first-piece inspections, troubleshoot machining issues, maintain equipment, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams.

Requirements

Experience with ProtoTRAK, HAAS, or Mazatrol controls.
G-code programming knowledge.
Prototype, toolroom, or low-volume/high-mix machining experience.
Strong understanding of GD&T and inspection techniques.
5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate ProtoTRAK CNC mills and CNC lathes.
Interpret blueprints, GD&T, CAD models, and process instructions.
Perform tool setup, offsets, work holding, and machine adjustments.
Inspect first articles and production parts using precision measuring equipment.
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to improve efficiency and quality.
Document production activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
