About The Position

IRALOGIX is a high-growth institutional technology platform serving IRA providers, 401(k) recordkeepers, retirement-focused advisors, mutual fund investment providers, and banks seeking to grow their IRA capabilities. The company uses proprietary technology to expand access to retirement services while reducing administration costs and improving efficiency, profitability, and competitiveness. The Sr Cloud Platform Engineer focuses on AWS technology and reports directly to the Senior Director of Platform Architecture. This role designs, implements, and maintains cloud infrastructure that supports reliable, high-performing, and scalable platforms. As part of the Platform Architecture team, the engineer helps optimize cloud environments, improve performance, and strengthen security. The team develops frameworks and infrastructure aligned with application, platform, and system requirements, collaborating with software, site reliability, security, and other engineering teams to meet standards for security, scalability, reliability, and availability.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience designing and managing AWS cloud services, with expertise in EKS, Fargate, MQ, RDS, and Redshift.
Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code and automation tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in team and client-facing environments.
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible to work permanently in the United States.

Nice To Haves

AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification or similar certification.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage AWS EKS clusters to ensure high availability and scalability.
Use AWS ECS (Fargate) to implement serverless container orchestration.
Set up, configure, and maintain message brokers, including Amazon MQ, ActiveMQ, and RabbitMQ, for distributed applications.
Manage and optimize Amazon RDS for SQL databases, including performance tuning and high availability.
Implement and fine-tune Amazon Redshift for high-performance data warehousing and analytics.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
Design and configure tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog to monitor the health, performance, and security of AWS environments.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and platform engineering teams to understand business needs and recommend appropriate AWS services.
Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework to support operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability of AWS environments.
Collaborate with software, site reliability, security, and other engineering teams to align infrastructure and application architecture with security, scalability, reliability, and availability standards.
