About The Position

The Sr. Cloud Engineer reports to the Cloud Engineering Manager in the Technology Department and is responsible for designing, administering, maintaining, and supporting enterprise infrastructure for a dynamic, growing business. The environment spans private and public clouds, networks, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, mobile devices, process schedulers, telecommunications, and databases. The role works closely with development teams, client service teams, and business leaders to integrate, support, and operate infrastructure related to the Platform Architecture. As part of a team, the engineer contributes to solution creation, provides hands-on and operational support, and delivers training. The role calls for a creative, client-focused, solutions-driven, and organized professional who can thrive in a dynamic environment. The engineer supports and improves day-to-day hardware, operating system, and cloud operations; implements cloud-native services in CI/CD pipelines; configures service mesh, Helm deployments, firewalls, security appliances, disaster recovery, and business resumption capabilities; and maintains VMware, cloud virtual environments, and Microsoft Active Directory. The role also mentors fellow cloud administrators and engineers, resolves infrastructure issues, supports SQL Server troubleshooting, develops scripts for repetitive tasks, and manages infrastructure-as-code and Azure Kubernetes Service deployments. The engineer supports infrastructure tickets and inbound requests, cross-trains colleagues, and performs other duties as assigned. All duties are performed with a focus on organizational goals, including risk mitigation.
