About The Position

The Senior Captain is a member of Gulfstream Flight Operations and, under the direction of the Chief Production Test Pilot, conducts flight test evaluations of production aircraft, engines, avionics systems, and related systems to ensure they meet existing design and performance specifications. The role also operates Gulfstream aircraft as Pilot in Command (PIC), domestically and internationally, in support of Airborne Customer Support, corporate transportation, customer accommodation, demonstrations, entry into service, Gulfstream maintenance, production testing, and other assigned functions. The Senior Captain may serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers, coordinate and direct Flight Operations activities at assigned events, mentor Flight Operations personnel, and carry out assigned ancillary responsibilities. The position requires broad knowledge of domestic and international flight operations and corporate and Flight Operations policies, independent management of assignments, effective customer engagement, and proactive efforts to improve departmental operations. The incumbent also assists Gulfstream Dispatch with flight planning and coordination and performs other duties as assigned. The role requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Requirements

Seven years of experience as a professional pilot in the aviation industry.
At least 2,000 total flight hours or 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command of turbine-powered aircraft.
Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) required upon hire.
FAA First Class Medical Certificate required upon hire and must be maintained.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to perform as PIC in accordance with Gulfstream Flight Operations FOM/SOP.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the job's essential functions.
Two years of Gulfstream Flight Operations experience.
Gulfstream type rating.
Previous Gulfstream experience with GVII and/or G280 type ratings.
Production Test or Functional Test Pilot experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct flight test evaluations of production aircraft, engines, avionics systems, and related systems to verify compliance with design and performance specifications.
Operate Gulfstream aircraft as PIC domestically and internationally for customer support, corporate transportation, customer accommodation, demonstrations, entry into service, maintenance, production test, and other assigned functions.
Serve as a point of contact for Flight Operations with internal and external customers when assigned.
Apply knowledge of domestic and international flight operations and corporate and Flight Operations policies.
Independently manage assignments while representing Flight Operations and Gulfstream.
Mentor other Gulfstream Flight Operations personnel.
Communicate with Gulfstream personnel to facilitate effective customer engagement.
Manage and execute assigned ancillary responsibilities.
Seek opportunities to improve department operations.
Coordinate and direct Flight Operations activities at assigned events.
Assist Gulfstream Dispatch with planning and coordination of flight activity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
