About The Position

This role owns business requirements management across three connected domains that keep Rivian's warehouse and manufacturing data operations running: Warehouse Systems (FLP, SAP, Pace, YMS, EKanban), Master Data (Material Master, SAP EWM Master Data, PFEP, and governance strategy), and Grief (the ongoing operational exception load spanning COGI errors, OverMax exceptions, queue backlogs, and inventory discrepancies). To be successful, this role requires a strong SAP background and hands-on confidence with data analytics to translate ambiguous, cross-system operational pain points into clear, prioritized, actionable business requirements. This role will be onsite in Normal, IL

Requirements

  • Strong SAP background spanning S/4HANA (Material Master) and SAP EWM; comfortable working seamlessly across ERP and warehouse execution systems.
  • Confident, hands-on data analytics skills (SQL, Databricks) to independently investigate, quantify, and pull data for root-cause analysis.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous, cross-system operational pain points ("grief") into structured, prioritized business requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in business requirements management, supply chain analytics, warehouse operations, or system implementation.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in full-lifecycle business requirements management, including prioritization, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability.
  • Working familiarity with warehouse systems (or demonstrated ability to ramp quickly on new platforms), PFEP methodology, and master data governance practices.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to align Warehouse Operations, Material Flow Engineering, IT/Engineering, and Procurement.
  • Experience working in an automotive or high-mix manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and manage business requirements across the warehouse systems landscape (FLP, SAP, Pace, YMS, EKanban, and new platforms).
  • Serve as the primary business liaison between Warehouse Operations and IT/Engineering on system enhancements, upgrades, and defect resolution.
  • Translate frontline warehouse operations pain points into functional specifications and prioritized requirements.
  • Own business requirements for Material Master and SAP EWM Master Data governance initiatives, creating clear documentation and governance strategy standards across ERP and EWM.
  • Support PFEP (Plan For Every Part) strategy, ensuring part-level planning parameters are accurately reflected across supporting systems.
  • Translate data-driven process gaps into structured, actionable business requirements.
  • Own business requirements related to COGI error resolution, OverMax exception handling, queue management, and inventory discrepancy issues.
  • Partner with Warehouse Operations, Material Flow Engineering, and IT to define root-cause-driven requirements rather than one-off fixes.
  • Track, trend, and report recurring scorecards on grief-related metrics and warehouse systems performance to leadership.
  • Apply hands-on data analytics (SQL, Databricks) to independently investigate, quantify, and prioritize requirements across all domains.
  • Build and maintain traceability matrices linking business needs to system capabilities and measurable outcomes.
  • Present requirement packages, root-cause findings, and recommendations to leadership, Procurement, Planning, and cross-functional stakeholders.
