About The Position

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results. This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting. The anticipated term of this engagement will be 7 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs. Business Management The Business Management job is responsible for providing strategic advice for the assigned business area. While focusing on the highest level projects, this job executes strategic business management consulting by analyzing metrics and presentations to support business strategies, driving business management policies and routines, and being the central point of contact for leaders in the execution of business management tasks. This job is a recognized master in the Business Management area. Key Responsibilities and Duties Acts as a technical/functional master in assigned area and makes decisions on tactical issues that impact the business. Oversees the implementation of policies and procedures in support of the business area strategy. Drives process improvements in assigned business area. Analyzes and reports to senior management on area data (financial, headcount, etc.) and performance metrics. Oversees business management projects by monitoring and tracking risks, issues and action items. Drives and oversees meeting planning in support of business projects and objectives. Influences the development of new strategic initiatives through tracking budgets and milestones. The Business Office Manager serves as the operational backbone of the LRC Technology department, managing project portfolio administration, financial tracking, resource planning, and governance processes across 100+ internal and vendor resources. This role ensures programme visibility, financial integrity, and operational efficiency — enabling technology leaders to focus on delivery while maintaining rigorous controls over budget, scope, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the LRC Technology project portfolio in Clarity PPM, ensuring all active projects are accurately tracked with current status, milestones, and resource allocations
  • Coordinate quarterly portfolio reviews with technology leadership, consolidating project health metrics, risks, and budget variance reporting
  • Administer project intake and approval workflows — ensuring new projects are properly scoped, budgeted, and approved before work begins
  • Track project dependencies and cross-functional impacts across the LRC portfolio, escalating conflicts or resource contention to leadership
  • Produce weekly and monthly project status reports for technology leadership, consolidating updates from project managers across the portfolio
  • Maintain executive dashboards tracking budget burn, milestone completion, resource utilization, and risk exposure across all active projects
  • Coordinate quarterly business reviews with stakeholders, preparing materials and tracking action items to closure
  • Manage project change control processes — documenting scope changes, budget impacts, and timeline adjustments with appropriate approvals
  • Serve as the Clarity PPM system administrator for the LRC Technology department — managing project setup, user access, and configuration
  • Ensure project data integrity in Clarity — validating that actuals, forecasts, and resource allocations are accurate and current
  • Train project managers and team leads on Clarity workflows, reporting, and best practices
  • Liaise with enterprise PMO and Clarity support teams to resolve system issues and implement process improvements
  • Administer Statements of Work (SOWs) for vendor engagements — tracking deliverables, milestones, payment schedules, and contract terms
  • Coordinate SOW renewals, amendments, and closeouts with procurement, legal, and vendor management teams
  • Monitor vendor performance against SOW commitments, escalating delivery risks or quality issues to technology leadership
  • Maintain a vendor engagement register tracking all active contracts, spend, and key contacts across the LRC portfolio
  • Track LRC Technology budget across all projects, vendors, and resource categories — providing monthly variance reporting and forecast updates
