Senior, Macy's Media Network Business Insights and Analysis

Macy'sNew York, NY
$108,120 - $180,360

About The Position

Macy’s Media Network (MMN) is looking for a strategic, analytical leader to join as Sr, Business Insights & Analytics. In this high-visibility role, you will serve as the 'brain' behind our commercial strategy, responsible for forecasting revenue, optimizing yield, and modeling the future growth of our business. Reporting to the Head of Analytics & Ad Experiences, you will own the interpretation of data. You won’t just report on what happened last week; you will predict what will happen next quarter. You will lead the weekly forecasting cadence, add more rigor and structure to MMN’s JBP offering, and define the pricing strategies that maximize the value of our inventory. You will partner closely with the Head of Sales and VP, Retail Media to deliver reports as needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting information to Macy’s senior leadership via email and in person.

Requirements

  • Expert-level Excel skills (complex modeling, scenario planning).
  • Strong proficiency in BI visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and CRM environments (Salesforce/Boostr).
  • Ability to look beyond the numbers to understand the 'why,' identify lagging sectors, and uncover root causes using pipeline data.
  • Exceptional executive presence with the ability to distill complex data sets into clear, concise executive summaries and slide decks for non-technical stakeholders.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Finance, or Business Intelligence, ideally within Retail Media, AdTech, or Digital Media.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
  • A 'player-coach' who loves digging into data to solve problems but can step back and see the big picture.
  • Comfortable challenging the Head of Sales or VP, Retail Media on forecasts when the data does not support them, and takes pride in building models that drive actual revenue decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue forecasting process. You will analyze weighted pipeline data to provide the Head of Sales and Finance partners with accurate projections, flagging risks and opportunities before they impact the P&L.
  • Lead the annual sales planning process. You will build sophisticated data models to stress-test territory divisions, set fair but ambitious quotas, and design commission structures that align incentives with business goals.
  • Actively monitor Average Selling Price (ASP) and Effective CPM (eCPM) trends across our ad portfolio. You will own the rate card, providing recommendations on pricing floors and discounting rules to ensure we are maximizing yield without stifling sell-through.
  • Analyze sell-through rates across onsite (display, sponsored products) and offsite inventory. You will identify under-monetized assets and flag potential inventory shortages to Sales and Ad Ops to prevent delivery bottlenecks.
  • Serve as the primary analytical partner for large, complex Enterprise deals (JBP’s). You will model the margin impact of proposed discounts, added value (AV), and custom packages to ensure every deal we sign is profitable.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to craft the narrative for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBRs). You will take the raw data provided by your team and turn it into a clear strategic story for Executive Leadership.
