About The Position

This role focuses on identifying and engaging with key decision-makers at OEMs and Tier 1 automotive companies. The objective is to understand their technical needs, particularly in areas like AI, EV architecture, ADAS, and software-defined vehicles, and to develop proposals for engineering services. The role requires resilience in a competitive industry and strong communication skills to translate client challenges into profitable service solutions.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years in relevant new business development experience.
  • Business or Engineering degree.
  • Understanding of the Vehicle Lifecycle (Design, Development, and Manufacturing phases).
  • Knowledge of Modern Trends: Artificial Intelligence topics, EV architecture, ADAS, and software-defined vehicles.
  • Experience with Service-Based Selling (selling "man hours" and "project outcomes").
  • Ability to articulate the value of outsourcing engineering tasks to bridge client capacity gaps.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying key decision-makers at OEMs and Tier 1s through prospecting and cold outreach.
  • Understanding the complex hierarchy of automotive organizations to find actual budget holders.
  • Asking the right questions to uncover a client’s technical "pain points" and needs (turnkey projects or staff augmentation).
  • Working with internal technical teams to draft competitive and profitable Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Handling frequent rejections and maintaining resilience in a high-pressure industry.
  • Translating vague engineering problems into billable service solutions through active listening.
  • Presenting complex engineering capabilities clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
