About The Position

Element Solutions is looking for a motivated and highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a government contract working hybrid, with on-site presence as required by the client. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing organizational processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and recommending solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role conducts organizational studies and evaluations, designs systems and procedures, and supports process optimization initiatives across the organization. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements, streamline operations, and ensure business objectives are effectively translated into actionable solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Management, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, process mapping, and requirements elicitation, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading development of As-Is and To-Be process maps, workflows, and documentation.
  • Experience facilitating interviews and requirements workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with common process modeling and documentation techniques (e.g., swim lanes, journey maps, BPMN, IDEF, UML).
  • Demonstrated skills in delivering excellent presentations, visualization, and report writing.
  • Demonstrated experience with communication and stakeholder management.
  • Experience utilizing process improvement methodologies (e.g., Capability Maturity Model, Six Sigma, BPM, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Experience utilizing agile methods and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Trello, etc.).
  • Experience supporting economic, financial, data-intensive, or analytical business domains.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear documentation and recommendations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both business and technical teams.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must reside in the Continental US; and be within driving distance to Washington, DC.
  • Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance.

  • Experience supporting or informing technology modernization, cloud migration, or platform rationalization initiatives.
  • Professional certification such as BPM, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience supporting government or large enterprise organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct organizational studies and evaluations to assess operational processes, workflows, and system effectiveness.
  • Analyze business needs and document functional and technical requirements to support system and process improvements.
  • Design and recommend systems, procedures, and process enhancements that improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform work simplification and measurement studies to identify inefficiencies and recommend operational improvements.
  • Develop and maintain operations manuals, procedures documentation, and process guides to support consistent business practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements, review processes, and validate proposed solutions.
  • Support the implementation of new systems, policies, or procedures and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Monitor outcomes of implemented improvements and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Provide clear communication of findings, recommendations, and project updates to management and stakeholders.
