About The Position

This person is responsible for executing tasks associated with the success of the Property & Casualty organization related to strategic objectives and product support along with strategic objectives on behalf of the company. This person works independently in a variety of complex situations and has repeated practice performing business analysis. This person knows what Techniques to use and what influences the usage of the various Techniques for the tasks. This is an In-Office position 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum five years of business analysis work experience.
  • Knowledge of a range of elicitation techniques, with the ability to select the most appropriate approach for each scenario
  • Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter, with a strong preference for Cloud migration initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in QA testing execution and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and facilitation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and documentation, including current-state and future‑state workflows.
  • Ability to contribute to change management efforts.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, particularly Commercial and Agricultural lines.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Visio.
  • Familiarity with Agile and SAFe methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the organizations readiness for proposed approach.
  • Documents system changes utilizing User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Business Requirements.
  • Communicates how the proposed solution will achieve business objectives.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the changes that will occur with the new solution (business area, technical infrastructure, processes and operations).
  • Communicates recommendation of solution justification to move forward.
  • Communicates the advantages and disadvantages of alternative solutions.
  • Evaluates which option will deliver the greatest business value when multiple solutions are available.
  • Assesses tradeoffs between options to maximize benefits and minimize cost.
  • Investigates how a solution is actually used after it is deployed.
  • Seeks to identify how the users have adapted and/or modified the solution and why.
  • Communicates to stakeholders how the solution is performing in relationship to the business goals and objectives.
  • Identifies the root causes for under-performing and ineffective solutions and solution components.
  • Understands the factors that create differences between potential value and actual value and recommends a course of action to align them.
  • Identifies alternatives and actions including replacing/retiring/enhancing a solution or adjusting the organization to allow for maximum solution performance and value realization.
  • Mentors and provides feedback for other Business Analysts.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned.
