About The Position

Spirit Omega is seeking a Sr Business Analyst with strong ServiceNow experience to join their team. This is a 24-month contract position with a 35-hour work week, located in Oshawa, ON. The role is hybrid, requiring 2 days in the office and 3 days remote. The primary focus will be on leading HRSD stories within ServiceNow, with ITSM as a secondary focus. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, document requirements, create user stories, develop workflows, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This role involves active participation in agile ceremonies and close collaboration with development teams and product owners.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, in ServiceNow leading HRSD stories as the primary focus, ITSM as secondary
  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow, particularly in IT, HR, and SIR modules.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and practices.
  • Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
  • Experience with ServiceNow Agile 2.0

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, HR, SIR departments to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements
  • Create user stories and navigate ServiceNow, develop workflows
  • Conduct workshops and interviews to understand business processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure that requirements are clearly articulated and aligned with business objectives
  • Write clear and concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
  • Ensure that user stories are understood and agreed upon by both the development team and stakeholders
  • Break down high-level requirements into smaller, actionable pieces
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure timely delivery of user stories.
  • Collaborate with the product owner to prioritize the backlog and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Collaborate with the ServiceNow development team to design solutions that meet business needs
  • Ensure that proposed solutions are technically feasible and aligned with best practices
  • Coordinate and participate in testing activities, including the development of test plans and scripts
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, processes, and solutions
  • Provide training and support to end-users as needed
  • Automate major ServiceNow Modules using ServiceNow ATF application
