About The Position

Plan, analyze, design, test, implement and maintain laboratory Beaker applications. Researches and corrects system and user problems. Works with various primary care clinics, specialty departments, ancillary department or inpatient units to support practice and implement changes as needed to the existing systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, medical profession (Medical Laboratory Scientist), or related field, experience may be substituted for education Required
4-6 years experience in EPIC Beaker, laboratory field, Data Innovation rule build, EPIC Beaker Clinical Pathology Required
Job related accreditation(s)/certification(s)in Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology Required
Certification in Data Innovations Required

Nice To Haves

Graduate of the emerging leaders program or leadership certification from a national organization Preferred
Incumbents with a professional license must possess and maintain a current/valid license in the state of Nebraska or compact state license (i.e. ASCP, RN, RT, MA etc.) Preferred

Research, analyze, troubleshoot and correct system components in a timely manner. Translate workflow requirements into efficient and effective application solutions that align with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
Takes initiative to lead and coordinate projects across laboratory applications as a subject matter expert by defining requirements for changing new & existing systems in alignment with department and organization priorities. Works with teams to define process flows & make recommendations for the most efficient utilization of applications.
Maintain, analyze, and optimize tools to meet and ensure the organizations quality assurance goals. Takes initiative and leads initiatives to ensure system reliability and maintain system integrity
Participates in on-call and monthly maintenance activities
Work after hours and on weekends as needed is an expectation of the job.
