About The Position

The Sr. AWS Sales Specialist role is ultimately responsible for driving AWS & professional services from our AWS partnership. Softchoice and AWS has grown its strategic partnership with a clearly defined GTM strategy and engagement model. The role will act as the fully dedicated resource to qualify and convert AWS opportunities at scale. Our specialist will ensure confidence in execution and conversion of these opportunities, with emphasis on co-selling with AWS. You will be managing the opportunity through the entire sales cycle from initial lead to an established AWS customer. You will be accountable for AWS services strategy for these customers. You will be working alongside our Softchoice Business Development Managers, Pre-Sales and Cloud Architects, as well as AWS sales and presales team members, managing a pipeline of opportunities as a dedicated AWS thought leader.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally from IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
  • 5+ years of experience selling technology, technical and/or business solutions in sales or pre-sales role capacity (e.g. software development, cloud computing, infrastructure, security, networking)
  • Creative and analytical thinker with a strong client services approach and excellent decision-making skills
  • Demonstrable experience in solution sales with consistent year or year performance to plan.
  • Strong problem solving & organizations skills for complex sales cycles
  • Delivery an exceptional customer service and experience
  • Customer focused mindset with strong executive presence, and effective communication skills (all levels)
  • Technical proficiency with demonstrable understanding of cloud computing
  • Ability to travel to support customers and field sellers
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification – (requirement in role, will support journey to achieve post hire if needed)

Nice To Haves

  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate – Strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for actioning and leading strategic AWS Services opportunities whilst meeting SLAs.
  • Drive services strategy and expand new opportunities for AWS.
  • Accountable for the entire sales process, acting as the primary contact on the opportunity and owning all communication from opportunity generation to recognized recurring AWS revenue.
  • Achievement of high-level conversion of opportunities to services statements of work.
  • Meet with customer leadership to understand customer’s business goals and help them overcome challenges by building out correct AWS strategy and drive consumption.
  • Collaborate with AWS & Softchoice peers to support customer engagement.
  • Participate in strategic business development activities that drive AWS enablement and field engagement.
