About The Position

This role is for a Senior Maintenance Technician/Team Lead in an AWS facility. The individual will lead a team while remaining hands-on with mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production and facility equipment. The day-to-day activities include safety meetings, reviewing work orders, assigning priorities, troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, repairing various components, overseeing preventive maintenance, supporting complex repairs, coordinating with external parties, and documenting work in a CMMS.

Requirements

• 5+ years of maintenance experience (industrial preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with production equipment and facility systems
• Previous leadership, lead, or mentoring experience
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and manuals
• Experience with CMMS systems

Nice To Haves

• PLC or controls experience
• Welding or machining experience
• Maintenance certifications or an apprenticeship background
• Experience in logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing environments
• Experience calibrating electronic, mechanical, or pressure measurement tools (gauges, oscilloscopes, etc.) in accordance with ISO/IEC-17025 or ISO 9001 standards
• Electrical Worker Certification issued through the State of Kentucky

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance programs
• Diagnose issues using schematics, manuals, and testing tools
• Dismantle equipment and replace defective components
• Fabricate or modify parts when needed
• Ensure accurate documentation of repairs, parts, and work completed
• Manage parts inventory and maintenance materials
• Support equipment installs, upgrades, and facility projects
• Ensure all work meets OSHA, LOTO, and safety standards
• Oversee preventive maintenance to avoid downtime
• Support your team on complex repairs and recurring issues
• Coordinate with operations, vendors, or contractors as needed
• Track work, parts, and repairs in CMMS before shift handoff
