About The Position

Responsible for the safe and effective testing and assembly of the RS-25 rocket engine. The position works with related disciplines, contractors, and customers to support successful testing of L3Harris products. Work is performed under general supervision and supports operational targets for specific programs and projects. The employee must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; or a graduate degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the assembly, testing, and verification of rocket engine components.
• Conduct leak checks, inspections, and other engine-related tasks.
• Create and maintain check sheets for work performed by technicians.
• Work with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals.
• Communicate with contacts inside and outside the department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
• Recommend enhancements to systems and processes.
• Work to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects.
