The Sr. Assembler performs a variety of assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies and/or builds parts for such assemblies, according to work instructions. This includes making setups and adjustments, holding tolerance to blueprint and work instructions specifications. The role may involve performing a wide variety of complex tests on fluids and electrical systems, checkouts, troubleshooting and rework on components, instruments, and assemblies. The Sr. Assembler may prepare reports and suggest improvements and modifications from data collected, and monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other controlled procedures. Additionally, the role will assist with inventory and cycle count. The Inspector Senior, in addition to the functions, duties, and responsibilities set forth for an Inspector Associate, must also be able to perform inspection of assemblies/detail parts for compliance to applicable drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements. This requires an eye for defect identification and documenting discrepancies per applicable procedures. The role involves working from engineering drawings, blueprints, quality procedures and instructions, manufacturing specifications and procedures, operation and work sheets, electronic data, and verbal instructions. Understanding and ensuring compliance of First Article Inspections is crucial. The position requires the use of precision measuring instruments such as ball gauges, height gauges, dial indicators, calipers, pana-metrics (electronic thickness tester), and micrometers. Computer literacy in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, PDF, etc., is necessary. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned, and training and assisting employees as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident (i.e., ‘Green Card’) per ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) guidelines.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or a foreign person per ITAR.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 to 5 years of experience required.
  • Computer literate with skills in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, PDF, etc.
