About The Position

This is a senior-level position in application and system engineering. The role designs high-density 400V+ isolated DC-DC converters, develops and debugs analog circuits, writes datasheets and application/design notes, and provides application support and technical training. It supports cloud-computing and data-center/AI power solutions for CPUs, GPUs, ASICs, and SoCs, working with design engineering, field applications, marketing, and other cross-functional teams. The position is located in Kirkland, Washington.

Requirements

MSEE or higher.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in switch-mode power-supply design.
Familiarity with laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, electronic loads, and frequency analyzers.
Fluent communication skills in English.
Excellent writing and presentation skills.
Self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

Lab automation experience with Python.
Experience with simulation tools such as Simplis, Maxwell, or Icepak.
Experience in PCB design or layout.

Responsibilities

Work with design engineers, the field applications team, and marketing to define high-density module products for cloud-computing power solutions serving CPUs, GPUs, ASICs, and SoCs.
Develop application reference circuits and system-level power-management solutions for data-center and AI applications.
Conduct hands-on laboratory evaluations, system- and board-level debugging, and prototype demonstrations.
Work with cross-functional teams to support existing products and drive new product development.
Write datasheets, application notes, design notes, and papers for magazines and conferences to promote MPS products.
Provide application support and technical training.
