About The Position

The Applications Engineer serves as an internal interface among sales, R&D, product development, and production, guiding customer requests from initial enquiry through customer acceptance. The role also involves direct customer communication and providing timely, professional technical and commercial support. The company provides comprehensive training and ongoing support. The engineer uses available tools, including sizing programs, to match products to customer requirements, participates in setting and evaluating target prices, analyzes market developments, and contributes to market development. The role also includes planning and following up on customer visits and trade shows, maintaining quotation, customer, and order records in the CRM system, and meeting quality-management requirements. The position is expected to uphold Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence and follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of experience working in an engineering field.
Engineering background or equivalent education and proven experience in technical roles.
Fundamental thermodynamic knowledge.
Advanced knowledge of heat transfer technology.
Knowledge of selection and sizing programs.
Fluent English language skills.
Good knowledge of ERP and CRM systems and the MS Office suite.
Strong customer orientation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong persuasive and negotiation skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Systematic approach to work.
High degree of flexibility and resilience.
Valid driver’s license.
Readiness for extensive travel.

Nice To Haves

Experience with thermal applications in the data center industry, refrigeration, or a similar field.
Knowledge of white-space cooling and heat rejection for data centers.
Intermediate knowledge of computer technology and programs.

Responsibilities

Coordinate internally among sales, R&D, product development, and production from initial customer enquiry through customer acceptance.

Participate in defining and evaluating target prices.
Analyze market developments for the products and contribute to further market development.

Maintain quotation, customer, and order data in the CRM system.
Adhere to quality requirements within the Quality Management system.
Ensure Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence, including quality, is incorporated into products.
