About The Position

Moog Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Support Analyst for their Space and Defense Group, the longest-standing division at Moog. This role is crucial for meeting the evolving demands of defense and space exploration markets. The Senior Application Support Analyst will report to the IT Business Partner and can work remotely from Blacksburg, Virginia, or in a hybrid model if local to Blacksburg, VA. The position involves supporting, maintaining, and enhancing critical business applications, with a primary focus on the Infor LN ERP environment and related platforms. The analyst will ensure application availability, security, compliance, and performance, while also providing technical support, troubleshooting, and driving system improvements. This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to deliver support, enhancements, manage deployments, support audit and access governance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role provides leadership and guidance to a small team of Application Analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field.
• 5 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, ERP systems, or business-critical applications.
• 2 years of experience leading projects or mentoring small teams.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting ERP, reporting, workflow, or business systems.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to identify and implement application improvements.
• Knowledge of ITIL service-management best practices, including incident, change, problem, and request management.
• Experience supporting audits, access governance, and compliance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• 8 years of experience in application support, ERP administration, or business systems analysis.
• Experience supporting Infor LN or SAP.
• Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, SSRS, Nintex K2, IIS, or related enterprise technologies.
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support for Infor LN ERP, SharePoint, Nintex K2, SSRS, Power BI, web applications, and manufacturing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues; coordinate with vendors and development teams on complex incidents.
• Manage ERP user access, security roles, job monitoring, data updates, and disaster recovery testing.
• Partner with business users to identify and implement application enhancements and process improvements.
• Support audit, compliance, and user access review activities.
• Plan and execute application deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes using established change management processes.
• Maintain system documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in application migrations, upgrades, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and user experience.
• Perform limited platform administration and support activities as needed.
• Lead and mentor up to three Application Analysts while balancing operational support and project delivery.
