About The Position

The Senior Analyst of Vehicle Supply Business Systems & Data Insights reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the automated solutions needs for complex business processes in Vehicle Distribution & Logistics operations. This role creates systems solutions and data analytical tools to support overall business strategies and customer needs. In this role, you will improve efficiency by collaborating with subject matter experts and implementing the process improvement solutions. You will extract data from multiple applications, support integrating data into a centralized location, and automate data analysis wherever possible including robust dashboards and reporting suites. To excel in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of distribution and logistics business processes, data ecosystems, data mining concepts, business system analysis techniques, report building, and data visualization. The ideal candidate will always strive toward optimal efficiency for both today and the future of Mazda.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Logistics and/or Vehicle Distribution required
  • 5+ years systems development and/or project management required
  • 3+ years experience in data analytics, including data mining, business intelligence, and data visualization.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Information Technology Required
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Computer and Information Science Required
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Business Administration/Management Required
  • Strong analytical & strategic planning skills required (Advanced-Authority)
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills to provide solutions to internal and external departments and management required (Advanced-Authority)
  • Ability to identify problems and/or cause-effect relationships, identify key issue, secure relevant information from all appropriate sources, identify root causes of problems, and implement solutions required (Intermediate-Advanced)
  • Proficient with data science techniques, database software, data analytics tools (Fabric, Power BI), mainframe database tools, and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PPT) required (Intermediate-Advanced)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, employees, IT departments, customers, and outside vendors required (Intermediate-Advanced)

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Extract knowledge and insight from data across all Mazda applications pertaining to vehicle distribution and logistics to support the end-to-end lifecycle of the data ecosystem.
  • Support the consolidation and integration of datasets into a centralized location, ensuring data integrity and standardization.
  • Develop algorithms, data analytical tools, and business processes to automate business decisions.
  • Partner with end users to develop dashboards and reports to transform complex datasets into actionable strategic narratives.
  • Create screen/report mocks to perfect user interface experience by ensuring the data is easy to find, understand, and use.
  • Create simulation scenarios to ensure robust scripts are fully tested.
  • Collaborate with end users to ensure project deliverables satisfy their project objective.
  • Define scope and objectives and create system specifications that drive system development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with users to determine and document system requirements and translate those into system specifications.
  • Function as a liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise.
  • Facilitate projects to implementation in partnership with the IT Team, ensuring delivery aligns with design, budget, and timeline requirements.
  • Coordinate the execution of project from concept to implementation.
  • Create reporting and tracking mechanisms with user community to ensure visibility of defined performance metrics.
  • Launch, maintain, and continuously enhance data systems.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies and determine proper resolution, manage resources appropriately to find root cause and correct issues immediately with IT Team.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure solutions are operating as designed.
  • Document process changes and thoroughly train user community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
