About The Position

The Sr. Analyst, Promo Operations leads end-to-end operations for in-store promotions, including setup across planning tools, tracking, auditing, and deployment. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Pricing Operations, this role applies detailed knowledge of promotion tools, timelines, business processes, and coupon and discount policies. The analyst helps set priorities, develop operating plans, streamline processes, and coordinate cross-functional actions needed for successful store execution. The role serves as the promotional pricing subject-matter expert for AMS and Promo Advisor and supports accurate, timely promotions while improving the processes and tools used to execute them at scale.

The position is based at PetSmart’s Phoenix Home Office. Associates are expected to work in the office at least four days per week and may work up to one remote flex day in a standard work week with leader approval. The role requires collaboration and face-to-face interaction with colleagues, leaders, and clients. No travel is required, and there are no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in retail, promotions, pricing, or general business is preferred.
• Expert understanding of offer interactions within the Advanced Marketing System (AMS).
• Ability to synthesize multiple data sets into a coherent story.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
• Analytical and strong problem-solving abilities, including creative resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Self-directed independent thinker.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and related Microsoft applications.
• Ability to collaborate, work in teams, and participate in face-to-face interactions with colleagues, leaders, and/or clients.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with retail applications such as SAP; Promo Advisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end tracking, building, auditing, and deployment of TPR and non-TPR promotions, including the offer change process.
• Partner with Merchandise Operations, Merchandising, Merchandise Planning and Allocation, Store Operations, Services, IS, and Marketing to coordinate communication and promotion deployment and meet milestones.
• Collaborate with business partners to improve processes and communication, monitor offers, identify opportunities, and resolve AMS promotion-related issues.
• Provide promotional system and offer guidance to help ensure systems accurately support offer intent, maximize impact, and minimize risk.
• Provide feedback to Phoenix Home Office business partners to support continuous improvement; maintain aligned and accurate information across promotional systems; and create, contribute to, or enhance training documentation.
• Work with peers to identify audit opportunities and improve efficiency.
• Research and resolve store issues affecting promotional integrity, and communicate resolutions to Technology, Store Operations, and field partners.
• Create auditing tools and processes to verify deployed promotions and customer-facing label and signage wording.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
