Sr. Analyst, Business Valuation
About The Position
The Senior Analyst prepares transfer pricing reports and conducts business valuations for tax, financial reporting, and strategic purposes. The candidate is expected to be well-versed in economics and finance with a basic understanding of accounting and the ability to interact with the executive leadership of these companies including Chief Executive Officers and Chief Financial Officers via phone and email. Requirements
- Well-versed in economics and finance with a basic understanding of accounting.
- Ability to interact with the executive leadership of companies via phone and email.
- Strong grasp of Discounted Cash Flow Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Comparable Merger and Acquisition Transaction Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Comparable Public Company Multiple Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Black-Scholes Option Pricing Valuation Analysis.
- Strong grasp of First-Chicago Valuation Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Monte Carlo Simulation Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Cost-to-Recreate Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Sum-of-the-Parts Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Liquidity Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Accretion/Dilution Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Leveraged Buy-Out Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Synthetic Put Analysis.
- Strong grasp of Lattice Analysis.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Ryan LLC.
- Job duties must be conducted in a manner that adheres to privacy laws, as well as follows internal governance related to protecting confidential information and trade secrets, and to securing data and company records.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Access and PowerPI is a bonus.
- Knowledge of creating VB macros in MS Excel, MS Word or MS Access will be a plus.
- Experience with research databases such as CapitalIQ and other tools is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepares transfer pricing reports and conducts business valuations for tax, financial reporting, and strategic purposes.
- Responds to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
- Maintains effective communication with the stakeholders through written and verbal channels.
- Performs highly technical analyses in the valuing of business enterprises and their securities.
- Determines appropriate discounts for lack of marketability and lack of control for equity securities.
- Perform benchmarking, analysis of financial statements, and economic analysis of companies, markets, and industries.
- Draft and assist in the preparation of memos and reports.
- Research and review country-specific tax and transfer pricing regulations.
