Requirements

  • Three years clerical experience or the equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with tact and discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite applications.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to details.
  • Must pass the U. S. Department of Transportation required chemical test.
  • Satisfactory completion of the Clerical Testing Battery and Word Processing Test.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Gas organization business objectives through effective coordination, communication, record management, and administrative services while handling confidential information with professionalism.
  • Provides administrative assistance to the Department Leader and supports the Department Leader's direct report staff within the Gas organization.
  • Performs varied, specialized, and moderately complex administrative duties in accordance with established department and company procedures.
  • Exercises independent judgment in the selection, interpretation, and application of data and related work processes.
  • Completes work that is subject to occasional review and verification.
  • Follows established procedures while managing a variety of administrative assignments.
  • Maintains electronic, microfiche, and paper records in an organized and accurate manner.
  • Assembles information and prepares materials from multiple sources.
  • Handles invoices, payments, and related administrative processes.
  • Performs mathematical calculations and prepares reports as required.
  • Drafts routine correspondence and other department-related communications.
  • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion.
  • Supports a variety of administrative functions or specialized departmental activities.
  • Operates mainframe computer systems, software applications, and other office equipment.
  • Works overtime as needed to support departmental and business requirements.

  • Hourly rates will be paid in accordance with terms of the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience or collective bargaining agreement: $28.38/Hr.
