Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
  • Public accounting or industry experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience with a solid foundation in US GAAP
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting and accounting operations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on accuracy
  • Experience with an offshore shared services organization a plus
  • Understanding of procure to pay process
  • Strong excel skills
  • Interest in identifying new technologies or tools to drive efficiency
  • Experience with Oracle R/12 or other modern ERP, OneStream or another modern EPM/consolidation tool
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across regions and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, domestically and abroad

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of monthly and quarterly close activities, such as preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting analytical reviews in accordance with US GAAP
  • Prepare detailed fluctuation and trend analyses to validate financial reporting results
  • Ensure compliance with global accounting standards, including US GAAP, local GAAP, and other regulatory reporting requirements
  • Support external and internal audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and regulatory filings
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Product, Engineering, Tax, Legal, and other teams to ensure appropriate accounting
  • Continuously improve all aspects of the end-to-end processes within your areas of ownership, including providing insights and recommendations to enable concise processes with the business and our shared services team
  • Lead or support process improvement initiatives to streamline month-end and quarter-end close activities, improve internal controls, and enhance end-to-end operational effectiveness
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the broader Finance team, including special projects, system implementations, and business case development as needed.
