About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, GAAP-compliant financial statement preparation, and multi-entity consolidations. In this role, you will serve as a key contributor to cross-functional collaboration — partnering with Accounts Payable and Treasury on cash disbursement processes while supporting both internal and external audit activities. This is an opportunity for a proactive accounting professional to drive meaningful impact by identifying efficiencies, enhancing internal controls, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data across a dynamic, project-driven organization. This role reports to the Manager, General Accounting.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting, with an MBA or CPA preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, out of which a minimum of 2 years in public accounting or at a public company (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of GAAP practices and processes
  • Familiarity with project level accounting, quarterly accruals, consolidations, and multi-entity structures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while adapting quickly to maintain deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and internal customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in renewable energy accounting (Preferred)
  • Experience with Sage Intacct (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Manage duties that support general accounting goals and priorities.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and record journal entries, including quarterly accruals
  • Assists with all aspects of accounting and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Reviews financial data for accuracy, identifies problems and supports day-to-day operations.
  • Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verify documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies.
  • Proactively work on initiatives to implement operational accounting efficiencies through process improvements and control enhancements.
  • Assist in providing audit support to internal and external auditors.
  • Manage accounts payable transactions and manage priorities related to the cash disbursement process through collaboration with the Accounts Payable accountant and Treasury department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
