About The Position

FCX Performance, an Applied Industrial Technologies Company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Columbus, OH. This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position at their Corporate headquarters. The role has an immediate impact on customers, company performance, and personal earnings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Proven accounting experience
Analytical/problem solving, communication, leadership, attention to detail, ethics
Strong understanding of SOX compliance a plus
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Highly proficient with Microsoft software applications, especially with MS Excel

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Help in preparing accurate financial statements, analyzing financial data, and providing assistance in the budgeting process.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile accounts, perform month-end and year-end close activities, and ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.
Audit and Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation for auditors and ensuring compliance with GAAP, federal, and state regulations.
Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and other financial staff, delegate tasks, and provide guidance on accounting procedures.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure financial processes align with business objectives and support operational efficiency.
Sales and Use Tax: Review and assist with returns and audits. Complete required analysis.
Ad Hoc Projects: To be capable and prepared to take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
