About The Position

The Sr Accountant/Project Manager supports federal financial accounting operations and contractor personnel. The role provides operational coordination for supervised contractor personnel to support task execution; all direction and final oversight authority remain with the government. The position also trains contractor staff as needed for internal contract needs and helps ensure ATF-related training requirements are met.

The Sr Accountant monitors completion of mandatory ATF training, including JTMS and financial systems such as CIR, GTAS, CARS, and G-invoicing, and reports status to the ACOR. The role drafts and updates operational documentation—including standard operating procedures, policies, work instructions, process maps, and other operational controls—for government review and approval. It also provides or assists with training for ATF employees in and outside of FMD.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of experience working with Federal Financial Accounting.
• At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
