About The Position

Utilizing engineering background, provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical customer support including implementation, training, and maintenance support for Physical Systems. Deliver presentations with compelling technical and economic value propositions for engineering and business staff at all levels. Drive successful pre-sales campaigns, including setting objectives, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering solutions while working with Cadence technical staff, such as application engineering, program management, R&D, and customers (engineers, managers, IT, leadership). Grow customer relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers at all levels of the customer organization. Work within existing strategic accounts, identify areas of growth, and drive adoption and proliferation of Cadence tools and technologies by uncovering unarticulated needs. Identify and qualify opportunities at new accounts by analyzing the customers’ processes and providing appropriate solutions, while being knowledgeable and aware of competitive technologies. Work with the field technical team to deliver solutions specific to the Automotive, High-Tech, and Industrial equipment markets. Some telecommuting permitted. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to integrate customer insights into prioritized, actionable product enhancements
  • Create named strategic account plans
  • Develop and execute global account strategies targeting automotive and commercial electronics verticals
  • Apply deep expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Multiphysics simulation, including structural, thermal and fluids to guide solution selection and technical positioning
  • Identify, qualify and optimize end-to-end mechanical simulation workflows from CAD to Pre-Processing, solving, and Post-Processing
  • Lead and execute targeted technical campaigns to drive strategic growth within key enterprise accounts
  • Collaborate with field technical team to deliver proof-of-concept simulation models based on customers’ requirements
