From design and manufacturing to on-site installation, our highly skilled team never stops striving to improve. As a Senior Account Executive in our Roofing division, you will identify contractors, developers, architects, and property managers involved in commercial and residential roofing projects. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, educate clients on our roofing solutions and services, and position the company for opportunities to bid on upcoming projects. This role focuses on driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring exceptional customer engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Roofing industry relationships with manufacturers, converters, distributors, and contractors that can help us gain traction quickly.
  • Experience launching or growing new roofing products, including driving trials, qualifications, and long-term volume.
  • Solid understanding of roofing materials, single-ply TPO membrane systems, textured surfaces, and real-world application requirements, including installation, inspection, and warranty services.
  • A builder mentality, someone comfortable entering a new market, creating momentum, and helping establish Viaflex as a credible supplier.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 7+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships that establish trust and create value.
  • Contributes to the team in an above average manner.
  • Capable of handling larger/key accounts, or specialized/target markets.
  • Has knowledge of the business side and contributes to strategic decisions.
  • Sharp perception of verbal and non-verbal communication skills, providing enhancement of sales abilities.
  • Ability to communicate in clear and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to learn product line, production capabilities, related markets as well as a diverse range of future opportunities.
  • High level of competitiveness.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to consider the client, competitors, and Viaflex to evaluate opportunities.
  • Team player who is self-motivated and has the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
  • Ability to travel 25%, up to 80% of time, depending on position

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for growing business in an assigned market/territory or account.
  • Present company’s product line to existing and prospective accounts.
  • Assist with distribution planning and expansion.
  • Identify new products and product enhancement opportunities.
  • Assist with sales forecasting, planning, and goals.
  • Prepare price quotes, terms, delivery, etc. within guidelines.
  • Negotiate warranty and credit returns.
  • Generate demand from targeting groups to identify Viaflex as a supplier.
  • Provide and/or coordinate training for accounts on products.
  • Keep Viaflex informed of competitive and market trends.
  • Utilize and maintain a CRM tool.
  • Stay current on relevant technology trends.
  • Assist with credit resolution.
  • Plan, organize, and/or work trade shows as needed.
  • Prepare various documents and reports as needed.
  • Assumes direction for assigned account, to manage and make decisions on accounts within the established guidelines for the division.
  • Focus on new business development and alternative markets.
  • Responsible for larger/key accounts, or specialized/target markets.
  • Negotiate contracts, and potentially draft proposals.
  • Demonstrate Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature. and/or assist in other areas as needed.
