About The Position

This role is with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and focuses on increasing awareness and adoption of AWS with Higher Education customers in Michigan. The position offers a creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you'll be at the center of Amazon innovation. As an Enterprise Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to help drive the adoption and growth of emerging cloud-based technologies, helping customers transform their service delivery models and significantly improve their overall IT experience. Responsibilities include developing and managing a growing, complex customer base for territory accounts, deepening business and technical relationships, and launching new customer services by defining, identifying, and pursuing key opportunities. This involves determining effective go-to-market strategies and collaborating with AWS Solution Architects, Executive Leadership, Partners, Legal, Product, and Capture/Contracts.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and market share in a defined region.
  • Serve as a key member of the AWS Public Sector team, helping to advance our market and technical strategy.
  • Accelerate customer adoption and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure they are successful using AWS services.
  • Understand the technical requirements of your customers.
  • Understand the technical considerations and procurement processes specific to the public sector.
  • Collaborate with AWS partners while communicating a relevant value proposition for your customer.
  • Build strategic territory and account plans aligned to AWS's strategic direction.
  • Build and manage an accurate and robust sales pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management regarding strategies that align with revenue growth expectations.
