About The Position

VigorCare Pediatric Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated SQL Developer to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a SQL Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our databases and data systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database design principles
• Experience with database development tools such as SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer, or MySQL Workbench
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with healthcare data is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SQL databases and data systems for storing, retrieving, and analyzing large amounts of data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and maintain database structures, tables, and views
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
• Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate access controls and backups
• Create and maintain technical documentation for databases and data systems
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Train and mentor junior developers on SQL best practices and database design principles
