SPS Technician 1
About The Position
The SPS Technician 1 performs processing duties including decontamination, instrument assembly, packaging, sterilization, and case cart assembly. The role fulfills processing and documentation requirements to ensure efficient distribution of high-quality sterile products that meet customer expectations. The technician maintains thorough knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, utilization, and sterile processing; collaborates with peri-operative services to provide appropriate surgical instrumentation; and can work independently when the Shift Lead is absent. The position is located in the United States and works Monday through Friday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Weekend and holiday on-call coverage is required for all shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Current Sterile Processing Distribution Technician Certification from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Inc. (CBSPD), or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification from IAHCSMM.
