About The Position

The Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician independently performs inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems. The role requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures. The position involves traveling to job sites and may include training and supporting entry-level technicians and apprentices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems and inspection procedures.
• Clean driving record and active driver’s license if driving is required.

Nice To Haves

• NICET Level I or above.

Responsibilities

• Independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies, including the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
