About The Position

Johnson Controls is seeking a Sprinkler Inspector to perform inspection, testing, and maintenance or repair of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and State Department of Health requirements. The inspector must accurately identify and document deficiencies found during inspections.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of field experience with wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Functional knowledge of wet and dry sprinkler systems.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to stand or climb stairs and ladders for extended periods.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds without assistance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills and good organizational skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment security, drug, and background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes.
• Virginia Sprinkler License.
• NICET II.
